What you can expect from us. And what to do if something feels off.
Uplyft Talent works with candidates across Pakistan, Canada, and the United States. Every candidate — regardless of market — is covered by the commitments below. We publish them separately from our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service because they matter enough to stand alone.
1. You never pay us anything
We are paid by employers. You pay nothing for introductions, placement, application processing, visa paperwork, relocation advice, or any other service connected to a role we source. No fee exists — today, in the future, or under any circumstance — that you should pay to Uplyft Talent to be considered for work.
If anyone claiming to represent Uplyft Talent ever asks you for money, for your passport, CNIC, SIN, SSN, bank details, or any form of identification that is not explicitly requested by a named employer as part of a formal offer — stop and report it to us at candidate-rights@uplyft.pk. We will investigate and, if warranted, escalate to the relevant authorities.
2. Honest outreach, always
When we contact you about a specific role, you will always receive:
- The employer's name (or, in confidential searches, a clear explanation of the confidentiality and when identity will be disclosed)
- The role title and a brief description of the work
- The real compensation band — not “competitive”
- Location expectations (remote, hybrid, on-site) and any visa requirements
If the outreach doesn't contain this information, it isn't an outreach from us. It may be a scraping bot impersonating our brand — report it.
3. Feedback, always
If you go through an assessment or interview with a role we've introduced you to, you get real feedback on the outcome. Not a copy-pasted “we decided to move forward with another candidate.” You might get a short version or a longer version depending on the employer's willingness, but you will always get a closed loop.
4. Your data stays with us
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with employers without your explicit consent for a specific role. We do not pass it to unaffiliated third parties for marketing.
You can request a copy of everything we hold about you, request correction, or request full deletion at any time by emailing candidate-rights@uplyft.pk. Deletion requests are actioned within 30 days. The full list of processors we use is in our Privacy Policy.
5. One email at a time
We don't run drip campaigns on candidates. If you're on our talent network, we reach out only when a role matches your profile. You can opt out by replying “remove me” to any message or emailing careers@uplyft.pk.
6. Complaints and escalations
If any recruiter, contractor, or representative of Uplyft Talent treats you in a way that does not reflect these commitments — rudeness, pressure, discrimination, misrepresentation, delays in feedback — we want to know. Email candidate-rights@uplyft.pkand we will investigate. We treat every complaint seriously and will respond within five business days.
7. Regional commitments
Canada: We operate in compliance with provincial employment standards and applicable licensing requirements in Ontario. Candidates in British Columbia are additionally protected by the Temporary Foreign Worker Protection Act. If you are a candidate processed through or for any Canadian employer, you are covered by the stricter of these rules in every case.
United States: We comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity laws that apply to each role's location and do not participate in discriminatory sourcing filters on behalf of any client.
Pakistan: Candidates in Pakistan are covered by the same protections as in Canada and the U.S. We do not apply different standards based on market.
